So I’ve had this book for about a year and can’t seem to finish it. It’s almost like I’m reading a bunch of made up stories or life experiences of people that I do t know and don’t apply to me. I have three boys, all under the age of 9 and I have to force myself to read a couple of pages. I was really really hoping this book would give me insight to how boys think and feel and how I can be better for them but it really doesn’t. I truly hope it helps others but I’m going to continue looking for a good book. Any suggestions?

The first couple pages of this book reconnected me to my little man immediately and had me in tears. Whole book brought about a new prospective to raising boys and being strong in a way that is not necessarily physical ,but, one that is healthy structurally, emotionally and healthy in communication that ALL starts with Mom. It conjured some emotions and provoked me mentally. Helped and is helping me to parent him in a whole new light and understand him by way of his design. The writer has a way to communicate that touches the heart strings of any Mom anywhere on the planet. Thank you for writing this Meg Meeker, I totally needed this.
Love this book. Puts things into perspective. I first read the strong daughters, strong fathers and loved it so bought this one. Opens your mind a little. written by a physician with yrs of clinical experience. well balanced with no over the top recommendations. This is a great gift for parents.
So lil disclaimer.. I am 39 and I bought this book as a prank for my mom on Mother's Day... we had a laugh but she read it and said this was really a great read... she already did well with me but I would recommend it for mothers of young boys trying to help them become the better men in this world.
