This is a beautiful, well constructed book. The previous book had some binding issues, but the one I received is nice and tight with no separation! I only buy Hardcover collections and the ones IDW puts out for TMNT are some of my favorites. Contains:Issues #13-30Secret History of the Foot Clan Micro #1-4Casey MicroApril MicroFugitoid MicroKrang MicroBaxter MicroI highly recommend this collection, even if you own them digitally or the individual comics. Looks great on a shelf next to volume 1!
I am so in love with this series. I'm an avid reader, of comics and otherwise, and the new run of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles is still one of my most favorite stories of all time. Beyond the comics themselves being wonderful, this is easily the best format to buy them in. The binding issues have been solved, so the book itself is sturdy and well presented. It also includes each individual comic's cover art, but more importantly, it includes the spin-off series AND it actually includes them in chronological order. Some of the other volumes that you can buy either don't include the spin-offs, or they do, but not in the order they're actually meant to be read, which can be confusing.I've never written a review before, but I really want both the comic and the IDW Collections, specifically, to get the credit they deserve. 100% worth every penny.
IDW seems to have fixed the binding issues that plagued volume 1.This series just gets better and better as it goes. The story has a good steady build accompanied by great characterization. The art in the volume can be hit or miss BUT we also get Mateus Santolouco on the 'Secret History of the Foot Clan' mini that more than makes up for the few lacking issues. Not really any extras included but the presentation is outstanding and definitely worth the money.
The story is GREAT! I am anxious for the next book. My copy did come damaged. The spine was ripped and the binding was loose, but I have a replacement on its way. This may have been a one time issue, will post if the second copy is bad as well.
Probably the best bound IDW book. All others have weak binding and ding by looking at Thom and feel unsturdylike they're going to give any second. This book feels good. Content is amazing. Have read every ""The Works" comic and this one is on the same level as the classics but with new twists and stories that you never want to put down.
I love how this story had more to do with the origin of the foot clan. An the rise of the shredder.
Who doesn't love TMNT? Good continuation of story.
A must read for any TMNT fan! This reboot by IDW is absolutely fantastic. It is easily my favorite version of the turtles to date. I can't wait for more volumes of this great series to be released!
Another great Hardcover edition of a rare reboot that really, really works!We get to explore the Shredders backstory, get an intro to a badass new Krang and more Turtle-y action.Recommended for fans of TMNT old and new.
