*Slave Trade* exceeds--or at least matches--the superb story telling of prior volumes in the Judge, Jury, & Executioner series. Character interactions are dynamic and dovetail nicely into frequent action scenes. General Lance Reynolds and personalities from Terry Henry Walton's bad company add punch to Rivka's overall mission.Highly recommended space opera. I look forward to purchasing and reading future books in this series.
Another amazing story in this Legal Thriller series. Riva and her team take on a large galactic slave trade organisation as they help to bring a new planet into the Federation. The many different story lines are all exciting and we see many characters from related series getting into the action as well. I always pick up every book in this series as it has become one of my very favorites. Highly recommended.
Unfortunately for the slave traders, it took absolutely nothing to find themselves there just by existing. Rivka and her crew have to figure out how to bring the traders down without breaking down the upcoming alliance. We meet lots of old friends in this book including Terry Henry and Char. It's a good ride!
Well another great read Rika takes on slavers her way which means the kick ass method works every time for justice. Till next time bringing the law to the federation on Mission aka Case at a time.
Loved everything about this story. Loved that Th and company are included. The storyline is great, love the Magistrate and how she fights for justice.
Entertaining in a slightly different direction than a lot of Sci fi. Looking forward to more adventures with the magistrate's team.
I hate when one of Rivka's books just drops in! Why? Because I am usually reading other things and essentially all other reading stops when the Magistrate enters the scene with a new book. Yep, it happened again with this one.So what about the book? Well, there are slave traders, a little more detailed intrigue that usual and it's sort of at a higher level... politically. We have TH and gang and what almost sounded like... oops, I better not say that lest I spoil something. There's a hint, if you are paying attention, that the team might be expanding and there may, or may not, be a new ship.It's probably good if you've read books 1 - 4 before you read this one, just so you know all the back story. Me? I basically don't buy any of the KG series books but I buy this one. KU is my access to most. And of all the new series and spin offs, I personally thing Judge, Jury & Executioner might be the best. Of course some more TH books would be good too but right now... bring on book 6!!!
